On the afternoon of 26 February in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), received and worked with Mr. Libor Vacek, Chairman of the Czech Mining Technology Association (CDT), to discuss potential cooperation between the two sides.
At the meeting, Mr. Libor Vacek, CDT Chairman, said that the Czech Mining Technology Association comprises 16 member companies, mainly active in supplying equipment and in research on technologies and methods of mineral extraction. CDT is currently developing a number of technologies and equipment for coal-fired power: supplying equipment to thermal power plants; deploying online coal quality analysis systems; thermal imaging camera systems for security monitoring and fire and explosion safety; automatic coal sampling systems, and more. With these strengths, CDT wishes to cooperate with EVN to improve efficiency and coal management in thermal power plants and to accelerate industrialization and modernization in the production and use of coal.
