On the afternoon of 5 October in Hanoi, Mr. Vo Quang Lam, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), received and worked with a delegation of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Mr. Pavel Kavina, Director of the Raw Materials Department. The Czech side said it aims to raise relations with Vietnam to a “strategic partnership” and to expand cooperation, including in the energy sector. EVN said it is interested in improving efficiency and coal management in thermal power plants, upgrading long-serving coal-fired plants, and learning from the Czech Republic’s experience in energy transition.
